What is EPR?
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) means responsibility of any producer of electrical or electronic equipment, for channelization of E-waste to ensure environmentally sound management of such waste. Extended Producer Responsibility may comprise of implementing take back system or setting up of collection centres or both and having agreed arrangements with authorised dismantler or recycler either individually or collectively through a Producer Responsibility Organisation recognised by producer or producers.
What is the role of a PRO?
As a Producer Responsibility Organisation (PRO), we are going to assist in meeting the producers legal obligations i.e. EPR targets, collection mechanism & awareness programmes for environmentally sound management of such electronic waste through various recyclers and dismantlers in the country.

Collection Mechanism
Common collection methods includes permanent drop-off sites with regular hours; special collection events; retail stores; regular curb side pick-up and as needed scheduled pick-up. A combination of these methods is used by system architect to develop collection channel.
Buyback solution - We can buy back the old and used product from our customers to recycle them with the help of the agreement with Dismantler / Recycler. Our clients offers to buy back, from its customers, the end of life electronic devices for a fair scrap/ buyback value. Scrap value is determined upon physical evaluation of the end-of-life device. Customers are advised to preserve the original bill/ invoice of purchase to claim the buyback amount.
Take-back solution - Every recycling system has some form of management structure responsible for coordinating both the monetary and material flows through the system. The system manager must be responsible for coordinating the actions of various stakeholders and enforcing the system rules and regulations. For end-of-life electronic products, we offer customized take-back and recycling services. Our mission is to tap and utilize to the full all the economic and ecological advantages that enable an innovative return concept for your and your customers’ benefit.
Other collection channels include collection points, where consumers and or businesses can leave/ drop off WEEE/ E-waste at specially created sites/centres. Ecyclear (PRO E-waste Management) has signed an agreement with Mitashi Edutainment Pvt. Ltd. in association with its after sales service provider to enable collection of material from customers/end users to further channelize it to their E-waste management Service provider, which will be processing E-waste collected/generated at the following collection points.
